DUAL SIGNAL ACTVATION SYSTEM
The BC001 bark control collar uses static electricity to curb unwanted barking behavior, different from the common bark terminators, the system will deliver static corrections only when the dual signal activation system is triggered at the same time, which means, the noises from the environment cannot trigger the system, only the dog with the system does.

Testing The Dog Bark Shock Collar
A test light is included in the package for testing the collar.  To test the collar, place the test light on top of the metal probes as shown in Figure 4.  Then generate a loud audio signal and vibrate the vibration sensor at the same time to trigger the release of a static stimulus from the collar.  The best way to do this is to continuously knock the vibration sensor with the butt of a pen while shouting at the collar at the same time.  If the collar unit is functioning properly, a flash will be emitted from the test light.
USE & PRECAUTIONS ABOUT ANTI BARK COLLAR
It is important that you are nearby when the collar is worn on your dog for the first time. Most dogs will quickly make the connection between the static correction they receive from the collar and their barking behavior and will calm down and stop barking. However, some dogs may be startled by the static correction and may bark more initially when the collar is worn. If this happens, reassure your dog with a calm and soothing voice. This will help them to relax and understand that they will need to stay quiet if they were to stop triggering the collar from making any more static corrections.
You should notice a substantial reduction in the level of barking after the first few days of using the collar on your dog. At this point, it is important to continue using the collar on your dog as the training process is not yet complete. Your dog may attempt to “test” the collar and increase their attempt to bark – this usually happens during the second week of using the collar on your dog. If this happens, remain consistent and make sure that the collar is worn in every situation when you expect your dog to stay quiet. Otherwise, if the collar is not worn by your dog before he breaks the habit, he may resume barking and his learning would suffer a setback.
How to find the best Vibration/Shock Level
The unit comes with Up and Down buttons to control the Vibration/Shock Level, with Level 1 being the lowest level and Level 16 being the highest. The level of Vibration/Shock best suited for your dog depends on your dog’s temperament and threshold for vibration / Shock. Always start at the lowest level and work your way up. The appropriate level can be found when the dog responds to the Vibration/Shock with a mild reaction, such as a tensing of the neck muscles. The Vibration/Shock Level may vary depending on the training situation. When highly distracted, dogs will require a higher level of Vibration/Shock.
